Irregular pentagon vase has white inset, the outside is green and amber with cloth like threads.
Decoration of hot decorated glass by cutting and polishing of large areas (called faceting). The final processing demands high precision intensifying the complete effect.
Friedrich Egermann began his company in 1832 after he received a patent for his invention of red stain (made of copper ions) on glass, which took 16 years to perfect. Through this process and other inventions, he elevated Bohemian glassmaking and won numerous awards. |
